Sean Power is a consultant, advisor, author, speaker and student which means he rarely gets sleep. He works with executives (mostly CEOs, CTOs and CMOs) and product managers to help them build measurement cultures, strategies and methods to implement them. He is the co-founder of Watching Websites, a boutique consulting firm focusing on interesting startups, where he advises them on product direction & analytics. In the past, he helped Akoha launch at TechCrunch50, wore many orange hats while doing performance/infrastructure analytics for high-volume websites at Coradiant and led the social media efforts at MTV Northern Europe.
He co-authored Web Operations (O’Reilly 2010), Complete Web Monitoring (O’Reilly 2009) and was technical editor for Troubleshooting Linux Firewall for Addison-Wesley. He has acted as speaker and moderator on metrics, products and startups at events such as Web 2.0 Expo, Engage, Enterprise 2.0, Community 2.0, eMetrics ProductCamp, DemoCamp, Podcamp and educational institutions such as McGill University in Montreal.
