John McCreesh had spent a lifetime in commercial IT before discovering
open source during the dot-com boom. After dabbling in LAMP coding, John
realized he could help open source projects more effectively by
publicizing them rather than hacking them. His scribblings have ranged over projects as diverse as qvwm, Rails, LTSP, and OpenOffice.org.
