Michele Simionato

Biography

Michele Simionato received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Parme in Italy. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in France (University of Paris) and the United States (University of Pittsburgh). Recently he switched to programming and is currently employed by Partecs, an open source company headquartered in Rome. He is actively developing web applications in the Zope/Plone framework.

Michele is known in the Python community for his posts on comp.lang.python, his articles written in collaboration with David Mertz, and his essay on the Python 2.3 Method Resolution Order published on the official Python home page. His interests are functional programming, object-oriented programming, and metaprogramming. Recently he got involved with Scheme, and he is always looking to improve his knowledge.
