Tim O'Reilly on "Mac OS X Switcher Stories"

Dear Reader,

Recently, Tim O'Reilly conducted a *very* informal poll on the make-up of "Mac OS X Switchers"--people coming to Mac OS X from other platforms. Via Dave Farber's IP (Interesting People) mailing list, Tim asked those readers who had adopted Mac OS X whether they had switched from Mac OS 9, or from Windows, Linux, or Unix.

Surprisingly, Linux users as well as Windows users who also use Linux or another Unix, appear to be the most common switchers. While Tim warns readers in his article to "take all ... with a grain of salt," he nevertheless presents some interesting stories and discovers a few surprises among this new group of adopters.
